Flags, boundaries, armies, Idiocracy

I am not sure if you have heard of the Movie Idiocracy 
But watching the Political news around me makes me wonder so many times... on how the equation of smart and dumb people in the world stands?

I am not a social scientist; but when I see people around me creating more and more divisions and boundaries, I feel we are heading the wrong way.

For example, I have had very deviant views for words like Patriotism. The love of your country is what is usually means. But people interpret it as protection of their country from other countries!

The only species to kill (not one) but many of its own.

What about recognizing ourselves as one species inhabiting one planet.

Do you think we can ever live as one? Why do we need someone above us? Why do we need rulers, presidents, prime ministers, etc.

We cannot live on our own without wanting to kill each other for resources?

What will bring our infighting down? Lower population, Aliens, appearance of GOD ?

It is Sad

I was looking up quotes about "patriotism" quite recently. You may like this one: "It is lamentable, that to be a good patriot one must become the enemy of the rest of mankind." -Voltaire
Or this one: "A nation is a society united by a delusion about its ancestry and by common hatred of its neighbours." --William Ralph Inge
And Mark Twain's definition of a patriot appealed to me: "Patriot: the person who can holler the loudest without knowing what he is hollering about."

Be careful what you ask for, it will(not may) come true

(back from hi-burrr-nation) Ok here goes another one of my understanding of ... wel.. Most of us have said this "Be careful what you ask for it might just come true" But fact is , whatever you ask for...wish for..(think or even say) is sent out in the universe as a energy pattern..like a sound wave. The universe is like fertile land, with lots of energy waiting to be used/ comsumed / re-created/ change/ take forms... Whatever you give out to this system, it starts manifesting to try and create !( YA YA it does have a parallel with the KARMA theory) BUT wait...
